Determinan Keputusan Anak Bekerja Di Kota Palembang

Abstract

Peningkatan aktivitas globalisasi industri merupakan dua mata pisau dalam perkembangan pekerja anak di dunia Seiring dengan perkembangan era globalisasi industri, permintaan yang tinggi akan tenaga kerja menyebabkan perluasan kesempatan terhadap anak untuk mendapatkan pendapatan yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan jumlah pekerja anak. Peningkatan ini disebebkan oleh faktor penarik (rasionalitas / pemberi kerja) dan faktor pendorong paling kuat pendapatan rumah tangga atau kemisk            inan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 anak yang berusia 10-19 tahun dan teknik analisis menggunakan regresi logistik. Dari hasil regresi logistik didapat bahwa pendapatan pekerja anak, jumlah tanggungan, pendidikan orang tua memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap keputusan anak dalam bekerja dengan nilai koefisien negatif sedangkan untuk variabel sifat pekerjaan, status pekerjaan dan jenis pekerjaan yang dimiliki orang tua memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan bekerja anak dengan nilai koefisien positif. Artinya, variabel tersebut dapat meningkatkan jumlah pekerja anak dalam waktu cepat dengan alasan membentuk perekonomian keluarga sebagai faktor penting dan utama. Variabel umur tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap keputusan anak bekerja. Pada nilai R Square Nagelkerker didapat sebesar 0.706 atau 70,6% sisanya 29,4%.
